CHRISTMAS PEARS

1 can of pear halves
1 can of crab meat
1 apple
2 celery stems
4 walnuts
mayonnaise
pepper
lettuce leave


Crush walnuts into tiny bits. Dice apple (keep peel) and celery. In a bowl mix the diced apple, diced celery, crab meat with mayonnaise. Slightly pepper. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Scoop mixture into the hollow of each pear. Serve on top of 4 lettuce leaves.





CHRISTMAS PANCAKES

1 cup of all-purpose flour
1 egg
milk
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
vegetable oil

Mix together in a bowl. Add enough milk that batter is not lumpy and can slowly pour. In a large frying pan add vegetable oil. (1/3 inch) Heat oil.Using a tablespoon, make 6 small pancakes at a time. (Use a tablespoon of batter to make 1 pancake.)Flip frequently. Remove from oil when both sides are a golden brown. Serve with butter and maple syrup (or table syrup)



Cheese Puffs

5 slices of bread
Butter
Philadelphia Cream Cheese
5 slices of bacon
15 toothpicks

Butter each slice. Spread cream cheese on each slice of bacon. Roll each slice. Slice each bread roll into 3 equal pieces.Cut each bacon slice into 3 equal pieces. Roll bacon around each bread roll. Spear with toothpick each bread roll. Place in preheated oven at 400 F for 15-20 minutes.(until bacon is crisp)




Old Fashion Cough Syrup

*This Really Works*
Easy to do. Very effective! If you have a sore throat then only 1 tablespoon of this syrup will cure your throat for at least 3 hours.
1 small bottle of beer
2 cups of white sugar
2 ounces of Essence of Mint
3/4 cup of honey

Mix sugar, honey and beer in a saucepan. Place on stove at low heat. Stir frequently. Remove when all the sugar has disappeared. Add essence of mint. Mix slowly. Bottle syrup and keep refrigerated. The refrigerated syrup will last 1 year




Peanut Popcorn Balls


5 cups popped corn
1/2 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS:

Keep popped corn crispy in 300 F oven. Combine sugar and corn syrup in saucepan. Cook stirring constantly, till mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Immediately pour over warm popcorn; mix gently to coat. With buttered hands, form into 10 popcorn balls.




Kris Kringle Cake

1 2-layer-size package spice cake mix
1/2 cup of boiling water
1/4 cup shortening
2 eggs
3 1/2 cups mixed chopped candied fruits
2 cups broken walnuts

INSTRUCTIONS;

Combine cake mix, shortening and boiling water in large bowl. Mix till well moistened; let stand 30 minutes. Mix at medium speed on electric mixer 2 minutes.Add 2 eggs and beat 2 minutes. Combine candied fruit, walnuts and raisins; stir into cake batter. Pour into greased and paper-lined 10-inch tube pan. Bake in slow oven (300 F) about 2 hours and 20 minutes. Cool; remove from pan & Serve.




Cuban Lunch

1 1/2 cups of peanut butter chips
1 cup of chocolate chips
1 bag of ripple chips
1 cup of chopped peanuts
4 walnuts

INSTRUCTIONS;

Melt chips in a double boiler.Stir in chips and nuts. Drop into small x-mas cups or wax paper. SERVE




Delicious Wonderful Tasty Peanuts

Peanuts
1 cup of chocolate chips
any flavor of icing
sugar (you don't have to put sugar on it)
INSTRUCTIONS;
Take the peanuts and with a butter knife cover each peanut with icing. Sprinkle sugar on peanuts.Let the peanuts sit for at least 15 minutes before eating.




Chow Mein Candies

Makes about 2 pounds of delicious holiday candy.
2-6 oz pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
2-6 oz pkg. butterscotch chips
2-3oz. can chow mein noodles.
1/2 cup cashew nuts or salted peanuts.
INSTRUCTIONS;
Combine chocolate and butterscotch pieces in a heavy sauce pan. Place over low heat and stir constantly until melted. Remove from heat and stir in noodles and nuts.Drip by teaspoonful on to waxed paper and let cool & Serve
